Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Taylor Lilley ("I", "me", or "my") handles information when you use the Fumbl iOS app ("the App").
Who I Am
Fumbl is an independently developed iOS app made by Taylor Lilley, an individual developer. This is not a corporate product. Questions or concerns can be sent directly to taylor.lilley@gmail.com.
What Data Fumbl Collects
Motion Sensor Data
Fumbl uses your device's accelerometer to detect drops. This sensor data is processed entirely on your device in real time and is never transmitted, stored, or shared with anyone. No motion data ever leaves your phone.
Audio Recordings
If you purchase the custom sound unlock ($0.99), you can record audio using your device's microphone. These recordings are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server, synced to the cloud, or accessible to me or any third party.
Anonymous Analytics
Fumbl uses Firebase Analytics to collect basic, anonymous usage data such as app opens and session counts. This data does not include your name, email, location, or any personally identifying information. It helps me understand how the app is being used so I can improve it.
Firebase is operated by Google. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
What Fumbl Does Not Collect
- No name, email address, or contact information
- No precise or approximate location
- No payment information (purchases are processed entirely by Apple)
- No device identifiers linked to you personally
- No browsing history or cross-app tracking
Cookies
Fumbl is a native iOS app, not a website. It does not use cookies.
In-App Purchases
The custom sound recording feature is available as a one-time in-app purchase for $0.99. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. I do not receive or store any payment information. For refund requests, please contact Apple support directly.
Children's Privacy
Fumbl is rated 4+ on the App Store and is designed to be safe for all ages. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Data Retention
Because Fumbl does not collect or store personal data on any server, there is nothing for me to retain or delete. Audio recordings you create are stored on your device and can be deleted at any time by deleting the app.
Security
All data processing happens on your device. There is no server-side component to Fumbl, which means your data cannot be compromised in a data breach on my end.
Changes to This Policy
If I make material changes to this policy, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
